Wonder kid Ladark Chasambi has been handed new responsibilities in the Simba SC squad.
Head coach Fadlu Davids is deploying Chasambi in the defensive line on the right flank.
In all the friendly matches Simba have played in Egypt, Chasambi has featured as a right-back, a role being used more strategically when the team goes forward.
Chasambi appears to be enjoying his new duties, making it clear that as a player he is ready to adapt to any position depending on the coach’s tactical plan.
The former Mtibwa Sugar star also acknowledged the competition within the squad, admitting that the new signings brought in this transfer window are highly talented.
“The new foreign players who have joined are very good and have already adapted to Simba’s playing system. I think we are getting stronger,” he said.
“I believe we will perform very well next season because we have a strong team. I urge fans to turn out in large numbers to support us because we really need their backing. I assure them we will have a very strong team,” he added.
