Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has confirmed that former team captains John Bocco and Jonas Mkude have been invited to this year’s Simba Day, scheduled for September 10.
Ahmed said Simba values the contribution of the two legends and that this is the right time to honor them after their long service to the club.

"Our former captain, who served Simba for six years, helped us win four trophies and reach the CAF quarter-finals four times, has now officially retired from football. This is the right time for us to say thank you — John Raphael Bocco."
"On the same day, we will also bid farewell to another captain who served Simba for 15 years. He left two years ago, but we did not get the chance to officially honor him. This will be a special moment for us to say goodbye to our beloved Jonas Mkude," Ahmed said.
