It is only a matter of time before Simba SC officially unveils their new striker, Jonathan Sowah, a Ghanaian national who joins the Msimbazi giants from Singida Black Stars.
Simba has finalized all procedures regarding Sowah’s transfer, and he is expected to return to the country by the end of the week in preparation for the final phase of pre-season training.
It is reported that Sowah had received offers from other clubs within Tanzania, including Yanga and Azam FC, but ultimately chose to sign with Simba, believing it to be the right club for his career growth.
Simba’s Head Coach, Fadlu Davids, played a key role in securing the striker’s move, having initiated communication with him immediately after the previous season ended.
Last season, Sowah was the leading goal scorer for Singida Black Stars, netting 13 goals in 13 league matches.
It’s worth noting that Sowah joined Singida BS in January during the mid-season transfer window, and by the end of the season, he was only three goals behind the league’s top scorer, Jean Charles Ahoua.
