Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has hinted that while the club’s management is finalizing the signings of all targeted players, they will reserve a few remaining slots to be filled through scouting at the upcoming CHAN 2024 tournament, scheduled to take place from August 2 to August 30 in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
Ahmed stated that Simba has already completed the signings of all the players requested by the technical bench, but based on further recommendations, a few positions will be filled depending on standout performances during CHAN 2024.
Additionally, Ahmed took a jab at their rivals Yanga, suggesting they should adopt the same strategy instead of seemingly basing their signings on Simba’s moves.
“We’ve signed all the players the coach wanted, and we’ll leave a few spots open. We’ll monitor CHAN — any player who impresses us, we’ll sign him. The money is already set aside. Copy this too,” Ahmed wrote on his social media page.
Reports indicate that Simba’s top brass are working hard to wrap up their transfer business by the end of this week, before the team heads into pre-season preparations for the upcoming league campaign.
