Simba SC goalkeeper Hussein Abel is expected to officially depart from the Msimbazi Reds after his contract expired at the end of this season. Sources from within the club reveal that the management has decided not to extend his contract, instead shifting focus toward finding his replacement.
Abel, who was signed from KMC FC, failed to secure a spot in the starting lineup and mostly featured in non-competitive matches.
According to early reports, Simba SC is in advanced talks to finalize a deal with JKT Tanzania’s goalkeeper, Yacoub Suleiman, who is currently the top candidate to fill Abel’s position.
Negotiations are ongoing, and there is optimism that the deal will be concluded before preparations for the new season begin.
Simba SC finished the season in second place in the Tanzania Premier League and is now focused on strengthening the squad ahead of next season’s competitions.
