Simba SC Head Coach, Fadlu Davids, has expressed great confidence ahead of the thrilling clash against their archrivals, Yanga SC, set to take place on Wednesday, June 25, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The match has been dubbed the “league final,” as the winner will be crowned the 2024/25 NBC Premier League champion.
Speaking after his team’s win over Kagera Sugar yesterday, Fadlu emphasized that Simba is fully prepared for the historic showdown. Commenting on the squad’s readiness and match dynamics, he said:
“It won’t be an easy match for either team. Yanga only need a draw to win the title, but we need a win. So, this match will be unique and highly entertaining.”
Fadlu made it clear that Simba will not play with fear or be pressured by their rivals’ standings, but will aim for victory as the only path to fulfilling their fans’ dream.
The coach also stressed the importance of fair officiating, saying:
“I hope the officiating will be fair. A match of this magnitude needs referees who stand firm to protect the integrity of our football. In our last game, we deserved two penalties through Kibu Denis, so let’s hope justice prevails this time.”
To the fans, Fadlu called for strong turnout and support, adding:
