Simba Sports Club's Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has stated that the League Board oversees 32 teams from both the Premier League and the Championship, and cannot be dissolved at the request of a single team.
In a post he wrote on his social media page, Ahmed advised Yanga Sports Club to respect the governing authorities of football in the country if they want to continue playing the sport.
Ahmed wrote the following message:
"So the League Board, which oversees 32 teams from different divisions, should be dissolved just because of one team?! So 31 teams should be affected because of one team? Should the League Board favor one team out of the 32 it manages?"
"Stop being childish, and stop thinking you're better than others. You've chosen to play football, so you must respect its authorities and regulations."
"We know you're using the influence of leaders from various sectors, but in this matter, the power of football will prevail."
"June 15 is the revolution of Tanzanian football β thatβs the day you'll understand the importance of respecting football authorities, and it's the day we put an end to childishness in serious matters," wrote Ahmed.
