The Women's Football Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), in its recent meeting reviewing matches from the Women’s Premier League, has suspended Simba Queens' assistant coach, Mussa Mgosi, for three matches and fined him TSh 1.5 million.
Mgosi was accused of causing chaos after a match held at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium between Simba Queens and Mashujaa Queens, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Additionally, the committee has suspended the manager of Simba Queens, Selemani Makanya, for six months and fined him TSh 1.5 million for assaulting the referees after the match.
Significant unrest erupted after the match ended in a draw, with Simba officials accusing the referees of biased officiating.
This match disrupted Simba Queens' plans to win the Women’s Premier League title this season.
