Chairman of the Simba club Murtaza Mangungu has said that they are waiting for Investor Mohammed Dewji 'Mo' to fill the positions of the members who resigned so that they can hold an election to find the Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mangungu's statement came a day after former Board Chairman Salim Abdallah 'Try Again' resigned
Also, Try Again asked Mo, who is also the honorary President of the club, to return as Chairman of the Board, a request that Mo accepted
Through his statement he gave to the PUBLIC, Mo said at any time he will fill the positions of Board Members who resigned while also asking Try Again to continue as a Board Member, a request which Try Again accepted
In an interview with the ITV television station, Mangungu said that according to the Constitution of the Simba club, the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors is available through voting by the Board Members and not by appointment
"There is no concern of the Members who have decided to resign because they have measured themselves and have seen that they need a new challenge, so other Members will be appointed on the Investor's side, let's choose a new Chairman of the Board and let's work"
"The issue of Try Again resigning and recommending MO to be the Chairman of the Board is his personal opinion outside of the Constitutional procedure, the Chairman of the Board is elected by the Members of the Board by voting so we will elect the Chairman of the Board in accordance with the Constitution, " said Mangungu
