Simba seemed to want the game from the first minute and probably would have ended the game very early in the first half but Willy Onana was not cruel in front of Azam Fc's goal missing two very rare chances
The winning goal for Simba was scored in the second half through midfielder Babacar Sarr who headed the goal after Saido Ntibazonkiza's cross
It is the sixth time Simba has won the Muungano Cup, matching their compatriots Yanga who in this year's championship 'entered the trees'
Midfielder Saido Ntibazonkiza was chosen as the star of the game where he walked away with Tsh 300,000/-
Speaking after the game, Saido said today's victory will restore the spirit of the team where he said they will continue to fight to make sure they do well in the remaining matches to conclude this season
Saido has asked Simba fans to continue to support their team at all times
The award for the best goalkeeper of the tournament went to Ayoub Lakred while the best player of the tournament was Fabrice Ngoma. Top scorer is Abdu Sopu of Azam Fc
