Simba's assistant coach, Selemani Matola, has conglatulated the players by not giving up and fighting for all the minutes of the game and managed to equalize the goal in injury time and then win through penalty kicks against Singida FG
It was in the semi-final game of the Mapinduzi Cup where the 90 minutes of the game ended with a 1-1 draw and Simba won by penalty kicks 3-2 to reach the finals
Matola said they expected the game to be difficult because Singida have a good team made up of talented players
"Before the game I said it will not be an easy match due to the quality of our opponents, but I congratulate my players for the great efforts they made despite being behind for a long time"
"It was a very difficult match but the important thing for us is that we won and reached the final. Now we have two days to prepare for the final game against Mlandege," said Matola
The final match will be played on Saturday, January 13 at the New Amaan Complex
