Before Simba take to the field to face Al Ahly on Friday in the first leg game of the African Football League quarter-finals, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has already handed over 400,000 dollars (Sh 1 billion) for the initial stage
CAF made changes to the amount of money that each team will receive from the quarter-finals to the champion after the challenge of the sponsorship of the tournament. It should be noted that this is the first time that the AFL is being held in Africa
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simba club Salim Abdallah 'Try Again' has confirmed the change while noting that Simba has aimed to do better in the championship
"It is true that there is the issue of those funds, people should know that the standards have been changed, I think CAF will announce later, but the important thing for us is to do well," said Try Again
So far, Simba has collected a total of 2.8 billion from CAF after it has also entered the group stage of the African Champions League and collected Tsh 1.8 billion
