Simba attacking midfielder Saido Ntibazonkiza has said that the team's goals were to qualify for the group stages of the CAF Champions League, they accomplished those goals despite being forced to draw 1-1 against Power Dynamos
Saido said the players fought and gave themselves up for the entire 90 minutes of the game, the important thing is that the team managed to advance
"We thank God, we have managed to achieve the goals. It was not an easy game, but you have seen the players, we fought for the whole 90 minutes and we have achieved the goals"
"We thank our fans for supporting us, we tell them to stay with us and we promise them we will continue to fight to make sure we give them happiness"
"This game is over and we have entered the group stage, now we are going to prepare for the next game. We know Simba is a big team and must get good results in every game," said Saido
In addition, Saido asked Simba fans not to be quick to give up on their team because not all times the team can play well but the important thing is victory
Saido has expressed his displeasure with the fans' act of booing captain John Bocco when he entered the field but at the end of the day he caused a goal which the Power Dynamos defender scored himself
"We ask our fans not to be quick to give up, the ball is 90 minutes, that's when the team can be behind in the game and return the goals and win. There are times when the team may not play well but the important thing is to get good results. We ask the fans continue to support us at every step"
