Yanga Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has revealed that the club's new head coach has already arrived in the country, with only his official unveiling remaining.
Speaking to journalists after yesterday's NBC Mainland Premier League match against Kagera Sugar, which Yanga won 4-0, Kamwe said internal administrative procedures were still underway before the coach could be officially introduced.
"The coach is already in the country. We are only waiting for the internal procedures to be completed, after which we will introduce him."
"If everything goes as expected, we could introduce him at any time from tomorrow (today)," Kamwe said.
On preparations for the squad during the approximately three-week league break to accommodate the FIFA international calendar, Kamwe said they had left it to the new coach to prepare the training programme. He explained that league matches would resume after the break, alongside the CAF Champions League group-stage campaign.
The name of the club's former coach, Sead Ramovic, is being widely mentioned as the expected successor to Manqoba Mngqithi.
