Yanga defender Israel Mwenda officially rejoined the squad today following the resolution of his dispute with the Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions.
Mwenda joined his teammates in training today as the Wananchi prepare for their CAF Champions League match against CFFA, scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at Azam Complex.
Recently, Yanga’s management confirmed that it had reached an agreement with the defender, who had been sidelined for several months after his case was resolved by the Tanzania Football Federation’s (TFF) Players’ Status Committee.
His return is welcome news for the Wananchi as the team faces a demanding schedule of consecutive matches.
