The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has appointed Evans Mgeusa as its new Secretary General, replacing Oscar Mirambo, who has been assigned new responsibilities within the federation.
The appointment was announced today, September 28, 2026, during a meeting of the TFF Executive Committee held in Dar es Salaam under the leadership of the federation’s president, Wallace Karia.
Mgeusa takes over from Mirambo, who had been serving in an acting capacity as Secretary General prior to the appointment. Before being appointed Secretary General, Mgeusa was Chairman of the Njombe Regional Football Association (NIOREFA).
According to the statement, following the changes, Oscar Mirambo has been appointed Deputy Secretary General and Director of Football Development, while Mustapha Yusuph has been appointed the new Director of Finance.
The changes have also affected several TFF directorates, with the Legal, Information and Marketing Directorate being split into three separate directorates.
As part of the changes, Hassan Njama has been appointed Director of Commercial and Marketing, while Boniface Wambura has been appointed Director of Legal Affairs.
Meanwhile, Cliford Ndimbo has been appointed Director of Information and Communications, completing the restructuring of several TFF departments.
The appointments and changes were officially announced through a TFF statement issued today as part of the implementation of decisions reached by the federation’s Executive Committee.
