The secret was recently revealed by the club's president, Engineer Hersi Said, during the official unveiling of attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki at KMC Complex.

Hersi revealed that the process of bringing Aziz Ki back to the club was influenced by the strong relationship between the player and Yanga.
He explained that all players representing Yanga are encouraged to become active members of the club. "Our players are members of Yanga," Hersi said, stressing that the system helps players view the club as a long-term family.
This makes it easier for them to return to or remain at the club even when they receive lucrative offers elsewhere, because their attachment to the club's badge goes beyond a financial contract.
Hersi's remarks were not merely complimentary but also appeared to take a swipe at Yanga's traditional rivals, Simba SC. This follows a recent incident in which Yanga successfully signed striker Selemani Mwalimu, who was reportedly "snatched" directly from Simba's training camp in Zanzibar.
Hersi confidently suggested that such a move would be difficult to pull off at Yanga's Avic Town training camp.
"I invite you to go to Avic Town and try to 'snatch' any player you want and see whether it will be possible. Our players are members of Yanga," Hersi said.
Where Yanga Has Succeeded
This is where Yanga appears to have made a significant administrative transformation through what could be described as psychological management: shifting players from being merely "employees" to becoming members who feel emotionally invested in the club.
Yanga is building a strong bond that is difficult for agents or rival clubs to break. A player who identifies as a member of the club is more likely to give everything on the pitch while also protecting the club's interests, values and reputation off the field.
