Yanga are reportedly close to completing the signing of teenage midfielder Suleiman Mbarouk, popularly known as "Mpemba D", from Zanzibar.
The talented 18-year-old midfielder has been playing for JKU and is regarded as one of the most promising young players from the islands.
His arrival represents another strategic signing by Yanga as the club continues investing in young talent capable of contributing both now and in the future.
Yanga's strong relationship with football in Zanzibar has continued to benefit the Tanzania Mainland champions, with many of the islands' top young players aspiring to join the club.
Mpemba is expected to join fellow Zanzibar recruits Abdulnasir Gamal and Mohamed Mussa, who have also been signed during the current transfer window after their spells with Mashujaa FC.
At Jangwani, he will also link up with other Zanzibar-born players already in the squad, including Ibrahim Bacca, Abdulnassir Mohamed Abdallah "Casemiro", Aboubacar Nidhar "Ninju", and Mudathir Yahya.
