Young Africans SC (Yanga) have unveiled their official slogan for the 2025/26 season, with Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe declaring that the club has moved beyond motivational catchphrases — insisting this year is all about action on the pitch.
Speaking at a press briefing earlier today, Kamwe announced that the official slogan heading into Wiki ya Mwananchi, which will also serve the club throughout the season, is: “TUNAPIGA KICHWANI TU” (We Only Strike the Head).
Kamwe explained that the slogan symbolizes Yanga’s intent to dominate and deliver heavy blows to any opponent who stands in their way.
"Yanga have gone past the level of slogans that only give hope. This is a season of action. We realized fans still want more doses, so from now on, we only strike the head," Kamwe said.
"When we strike the head, we play with intelligence. This year it’s only about striking the head. We’ve set the hammer for those who think they have tough skulls," he added.
Kamwe further threw jabs at rival clubs, warning that those who have signed players released elsewhere will be punished: "If you’ve signed players who were already given a farewell where they came from, just know they’ll meet the hammer. Boyeli has a hammer and loves striking skulls. Bacca too — he no longer hits casually, he strikes the head only. If you’ve done patchwork signings, we’re coming for the hard skulls," he warned.
