Yanga fans are counting down the hours before they descend on Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora to face their hosts Tabora United in the NBC Premier League match
Yanga will enter the match with only one goal, to take all three points ahead of Tabora United to continue putting themselves in a good position to defend the championship for the fourth consecutive season
The good news is that Yanga goes into the match with its attack expected to be led by its leading scorers Prince Dube and Clement Mzize
Mzize and Dube have each scored 10 goals and perhaps today they will have a chance to increase their goal tally. All have returned from their national team duties fit.
Despite missing attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, the presence of Maxi Nzengeli and Pacome Zouzoua continues to ensure Wananchi will have plenty of scoring opportunities.
Maxi has provided 7 assists this season, as has Aziz Ki, while Pacome has 6 assists and 7 goals. Dube, despite scoring 10 goals, has also provided 7 assists.
Midfielder Mudathir Yahya is expected to return and perhaps Salum Aboubakar 'Sure Boy' or Duke Abuya one of them will replace Khalid Aucho who suffered a muscle challenge while on national team duty.
The defensive line has also improved, with Ibrahim Bacca and Dickson Job both returning safely from national team duty.
It should be noted that in the first round match which Yanga lost 3-1, Bacca and Job were missing. Bacca was serving a red card while Job was nursing injuries.
