Yanga President Engineer Hersi Said accompanied by Chief Executive Andre Mtine and Members of the Yanga Executive Committee have met with the Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Hon. Palamagamba Kabudi in a meeting he called to seek a solution to the NBC Premier League game number 184 between Yanga and Simba which was scheduled to be played on March 08 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Speaking at a press conference shortly after leaving the meeting, Hersi said they have submitted their message to the Minister which is their position as a team
"We have met with Minister Hon. Palamagamba Kabudi and this meeting was specifically to find out what the Yanga club is going through, discussions on game number 184 against Simba which was scheduled to be played on March 08, 2025"
"Yanga's leadership, accompanied by all Members of the Executive Committee and the Chief Executive, was able to to meet with the Minister, the Deputy Minister, the Secretary General and the Chairman of the National Sports Council (BMT) to discuss what happened"
"Fortunately, the Yanga club has had the opportunity to represent what is absolutely fundamental regarding the game, the goal of the Minister and his team was to hear our message and we as leaders are managing the interests of our institution on behalf of the Members and the team in general"
"Therefore, we presented a message related to our position as an Institution. The Minister and his team listened to us at length and had the opportunity to ask questions to find out and we were able to convey the message well"
