The statement made by the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Wallace Karia on Yanga's claims of lack of confidence in some League Board leaders and calling for their resignation, has left Yanga members and fans confused about the fate of their demands
Interviewed on Game Plan EFM radio, Karia did not support the demands of the Board leaders to resign, claiming that no leader does not make mistakes
Karia called on sports stakeholders to let procedures be followed based on principles and not just say the Board should resign
"Procedures will be followed and let them be followed, but you cannot say the board should resign. Even those who say the board should resign, tell them and their own leaders are they right? Don't they deserve to resign?," Karia questioned
Yanga wrote a letter to TFF where among its demands are asking League Board Chairman Steven Mnguto and Chief Executive Almas Kasongo resigns for failing to comply with regulations after postponing game against Simba without any valid reasons
Yanga also requested to be given three points for the game after Simba boycotted the game for what they claimed they were denied the opportunity to make their final preparations at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
However, Wananchi also stated that they will not be ready to play the game on any other date that will be scheduled because they believe there were no valid reasons to postpone the game and that the pressure to postpone it was due to Simba's claims that have no legal basis to cause the match to be postponed
Yanga gave three days to receive responses to their claims, if denied, the next step is to take the matter to higher authorities (CAS)
