Shikhalo landed in Yanga in the 2019 registration, being one of the registrations made by Mwinyi Zahera while coaching the historic champions
Yesterday after returning from Kigoma where Yanga lost the FA Cup final in a 1-0 defeat to Simba, Shikhalo was not ready to reveal his fate with the Yanga
"Your contract has expired, will you stay in Yanga or are you going to look for new challenges elsewhere ?," one of the journalists asked Shikhalo
"At the moment I don't want to talk about it, let's wait and see," Shikhalo replied briefly
This season the goalkeeper area was in the hands of Shikhalo, Metacha Mnata and Ramadhani Kabwili
Kabwili still has a contract while Shikhalo and Metacha Mnata both have their contracts expired
Metacha's agent Jemedari Said confirmed that Yanga has not shown any interest in extending Metacha's contract while rumors indicate that citizens have no plans with him
