Mbeya City made a winning start in their NBC Mainland Premier League match after defeating Singida Black Stars 1-0 at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.
The only goal of the match was scored by Riphati Msuya in the 22nd minute, securing all three points for Mbeya City in front of their home supporters.
The result means Singida Black Stars return from their away trip empty-handed, while Mbeya City collect three valuable points in their league campaign.
