Yanga SC interim coach Simon Dladla has said the club is determined to return to winning ways and deliver the results expected by its supporters, insisting that the team’s main objective is to finish the league season at the top of the table.
Dladla explained that tactical and structural changes for the upcoming match would depend on the players available, but assured fans that Yanga would aim to play attractive football and compete at a high level.
He added that the technical bench understands the team’s weaknesses and is working to address them.
Addressing Yanga supporters, popularly known as Wananchi, Dladla admitted that the team disappointed them in its previous match after failing to secure the expected result.
However, he said the shortcomings had been identified and the team was committed to working hard to improve its performances.
“To Wananchi, we understand that we disappointed you in the previous match because we did not get the result we expected. We have identified our weaknesses and will work hard. We know we owe you a lot. We owe you goals, good football and a high level of competitiveness every time we step onto the pitch,” Dladla said.
Meanwhile, Yanga goalkeeper Aboutwaleeb Mshery has warned that the match against Mashujaa will not be easy, pointing out that their opponents have consistently provided strong competition in the league. Nevertheless, he insisted that Yanga’s players would give their all in pursuit of a positive result.
“It will not be an easy match, considering the way Mashujaa play. They are a team that has been highly competitive in the league. What I can assure you is that we, as players, will fight with all our strength to get a good result,” Mshery said.
The statements from Dladla and Mshery underline Yanga’s determination to address the weaknesses exposed in their previous outing and restore supporters’ confidence.
The technical bench will be focused on improving the team’s overall performance, increasing its attacking efficiency and ensuring that Yanga remains on course to achieve its objectives for the season.
