Simba SC have made an impressive start to their CAF Champions League campaign after thrashing Equatorial Guinea’s 15 de Agosto 6-1 in a match played at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The biggest talking point of the match was Simba striker Ibrahim Doumbia, who scored twice, ending his long scoring drought in the CAF Champions League.
The victory gives Simba a significant advantage ahead of the return leg against 15 de Agosto, with the Tanzanian giants carrying a five-goal lead into the next encounter.
The result puts Simba in a strong position to progress to the next stage of the competition, although they will need to maintain their performance in the return leg to complete their qualification campaign successfully.
