The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has announced changes to the home grounds of several teams competing in the NBC Premier League and NBC Championship for the 2026/2027 season, with Fountain Gate FC returning to Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara and Polisi Tanzania returning to Ushirika Stadium in Kilimanjaro.
According to a TPLB statement, Fountain Gate FC, who compete in the NBC Premier League, will use Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium as their home ground for the season.
Meanwhile, Mbuni FC and IAA SC, who compete in the NBC Championship, will play their home matches at Agakhan Stadium in Arusha.
The decision to move those matches to Agakhan Stadium is aimed at protecting and maintaining the quality of Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha by ensuring its use is managed in line with sporting requirements and the preservation of its infrastructure.
Polisi Tanzania to Return to Ushirika
In another development, Polisi Tanzania will return to Ushirika Stadium in Kilimanjaro as their home ground following the completion of infrastructure improvements at the venue.
The team's return to the stadium will allow them to continue playing at their home ground now that the improvement works have been completed.
TPLB Calls on Fans to Turn Out
TPLB said it would continue to oversee the proper use of sports venues across the country, with a focus on infrastructure quality and ensuring a suitable environment for teams, fans and all football stakeholders.
The Board also urged football stakeholders and fans in Manyara, Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions to turn out in large numbers to support their teams during league matches.
TPLB believes that fan participation plays a significant role in developing football in the country and increasing competitive excitement in Tanzania's leagues.
