The heat surrounding the Kariakoo Derby continues to rise, with women supporters of Simba, popularly known as “Gwede Gwede,” stepping up their taunts and confidence ahead of the clash against Yanga.
The women, dressed in their team’s khanga outfits, have called on Simba’s spokesperson, members and supporters to put aside any doubts and remain confident in their team, insisting that they believe victory will belong to the Msimbazi side this time around.
They declared that Simba’s struggles against Yanga have come to an end, while promising to move from one supporters’ branch to another to rally fans and build momentum ahead of the highly anticipated derby.
One of the members of the group, Suzan Mrassy, said she is ready to provide various gifts to the players as motivation ahead of the Kariakoo Derby.
Their statements have added more heat to the derby away from the pitch, with supporters from both sides continuing to trade taunts as October 10 draws closer.
