Tanzanian forward Clara Luvanga has made history by becoming the first Tanzanian player to score a goal in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.
Luvanga scored in the 84th minute against Houston Dash, with her goal proving to be the winner as Washington Spirit secured a 3-2 away victory.
The goal marks a major milestone in Luvanga’s international career, as she becomes the first Tanzanian to find the net in one of the world’s leading women’s football leagues.
The victory also earned Washington Spirit three important points, with Luvanga’s late strike ultimately deciding the match.
