Yanga SC youngster Ibrahim Kazimoto is beginning to emerge as one of the club’s promising talents after his performances caught the attention of the first-team coaching staff.
Yanga’s youth team coach Mohamed Badru says first-team head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been impressed by Kazimoto’s ability since the youngster was promoted from the U-20 team.
According to Badru, Kazimoto possesses several qualities required in modern football, including strength, pace, competitiveness and technical awareness, which have helped him earn opportunities with the senior squad. For Badru, Kazimoto’s promotion was not a matter of luck.
He says it was part of a plan he set when he began working at Yanga, with one of his key targets this season being to see at least one or two U-20 players break into the first team.
However, Badru believes Kazimoto’s journey has only just begun. The youngster still needs to develop technically, remain patient, compete for his place and learn from experienced players as he adapts to the demands of senior football.
