Tanzania U23 head coach Ahmad Ally said preparations have progressed well despite the challenge of some players joining the camp late due to their club commitments. The coach added that the squad has continued to improve as preparations have progressed ahead of the away fixture.
The match is part of the first qualifying round for the 2027 U23 AFCON, with Tanzania and Kenya set to meet over two legs. The aggregate winner will advance to the second round, where they will face Côte d’Ivoire.
