Tanzania’s Taifa Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in an international match, with their opponents making the most of their chances to secure the victory.
Guinea-Bissau opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Franculino Djú, who finished after receiving the final pass from Beto to give his side a 1-0 lead at half-time.
In the 58th minute, Mama Baldé doubled Guinea-Bissau’s advantage after receiving a pass from Dalcio, leaving Tanzania with a difficult task of finding a way back into the game.
Taifa Stars were unable to find a consolation goal before the final whistle, as Guinea-Bissau secured a 2-0 victory.
Taifa Stars will now turn their attention to their next match against Madagascar, scheduled for September 29, 2026, at Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Morocco.
