Tanzania’s U20 national team, Ngorongoro Heroes, will face Sudan today, Thursday, September 24, 2026, in the final of the CECAFA tournament serving as the regional qualifiers for the 2027 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), currently being held in Dar es Salaam.
The final will be played at Uhuru Stadium from 3:30 p.m., with Tanzania entering the match without conceding a goal in their three matches so far. Ngorongoro Heroes began the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Rwanda, followed by a 4-0 win against Ethiopia before beating Burundi 2-0 in the semi-final.
Sudan, meanwhile, reached the final after defeating Uganda 3-2 in the semi-final. The victory also secured Sudan’s historic qualification for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations for the first time.
