Information and Communication Manager Simba Sc Ahmed Ali has clarified why Coach Pablo Franco failed to conduct interviews in some games due to security reasons
Yesterday the league management committee handed down various penalties including banning Pablo for three matches due to faults committed in games against Mbeya City, Mtibwa Sugar and Kagera Sugar
Pablo was also fined a total of TSh 3,500,000/- for not conducting a post-match interview
Ahmed said it is not true that Pablo refused to do interviews with reporters, security reasons led to the matter not being successful as there are interviews he did in the locker rooms
He cited the game against Mbeya City. Police were forced to escort the coach to the car to avoid violence from angry fans after Simba lost the game
Ahmed has asked the League Board to look for safe places to conduct interviews with coaches after the game
