Simba Sc is scheduled at Group D of the Confederations Cup in Africa with RS Berkane, ASEC Mimosas and USGN
The national champions need to finish in the top two to reach the quarter-finals
Looking at the group, you see RS Berkane as the threat team, they played in the finals in 2019 and won the title in 2020
Now they are being coached by former AS Vita coach Florent Ibenge with their squad consisting of Clatous Chama players who have played for Simba and Tuisila Kisinda who has played for Yanga
However, Simba cannot be intimidated by Ibenge at all, as on average they did well in the matches against team coached by Ibenge
The only victory Ibenge got against Simba, is in 2018 in the Champions League with AS Vita won 5-0
Simba Sc won all three of their following games including last season in which they won both games against As Vita (1-0 and 4-1) in the Champions League
ASEC Mimosas and USGN are also not bad teams, but they have not done wonders in African football in recent seasons
Obviously Simba and RS Berkane are the favorites to advance to quarter-finals despite the fact that the tournament has never been easier
