Speaking in the city yesterday, Bashungwa said Tanzanians should put aside the fanaticism of their beloved teams when it comes to their opponent representing the country in international championships.
Bashungwa said the government is praying for Simba to win their game against the Red Arrows because those results are important for the development of football in the country.
"Let's get rid of our bigotry and support when our teams represent the country, the unity we showed to our national teams should be shown in our clubs when they represent the Nation, let's not humiliate them and give priority to opponents," said Bashungwa
He added that if Simba Sc do well and progress in the international tournament, will pay off for the nation because it will add points to the Country
"I am relieved to see every club or team from Tanzania representing us well in the major tournaments, please support them while putting aside the ideologies of the teams we support"
