Simba striker Meddie Kagere, who currently tops the list goal scorers in the Tanzania Premier League with four goals, said his goal this season is to set a record of top scorer for the wrd time
Kagere has got off to a good start in his quest for a scoring place after scoring four goals so far and helping Simba to a second place in the Premier League standings with 14 points, behind leaders Yanga.
The Rwandan international striker said he wants to help Simba defend their Premier League title for the fifth time, but shifted his mind and energy in search of the golden boot to set a record for the third time playing in the Tanzania Premier League.
"When I came to Tanzania my dream was to help my team win trophies, but also my thirst was to be a top scorer in the League which I did twice and now I want to take it again for the third time"
"Last season I didn't get chance to play regularly, this season has started well my goal is to see that I can do much better," said Kagere
