Simba Sc Manager Patrick Rweyemamu said players have been given a 10-day break after completing the season by winning both titles, the Premier League and the FA Cup
Speaking earlier today after Simba landed in Dar es Salaam from Kigoma where they managed to defend the FA Cup by beating Yanga 1-0, Rweyemamu said as it was last season, next season they will not have different goals to ensure Simba performs well in every competition they participate in"After 10 days we will gather to start preparations for next season. You know we have big goals all the time, we know the Champions League will start early so we will have to come back early to prepare," said Rweyemamu p>
Commenting on the FA Cup they won in front of Yanga, Rweyemamu said it was a matter of pride for Simba to win the title in front of their hometown rivals and more importantly they have been able to carry Yanga to participate in the International Championships next season
"These derby matches are incomprehensible, we have to respect Yanga because they are the oldest team like us so we did not expect an easy game. But the biggest thing for us was we were able to win against them and successfully defend the FA Cup"
"But we can also say we have carried them to participate in the International Championships next season. If they had a win, they would probably have said they used their strength but that is no longer the case, it will remain in history that we carried them to participate in the CAF Championship," / em>
