Simba have strengthened their position at the top of the standings with 24 points after winning all eight of their matches, while their rivals Yanga narrowly avoided defeat today, settling for a draw against TRA United.
The result has allowed Simba to open up a five-point lead at the summit.
On Sunday, Simba are expected to complete their qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage before travelling to Manyara to face Fountain Gate in an NBC Mainland Premier League fixture scheduled for Wednesday.
The match will offer Simba another opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the league standings.
