TSh 10 Million Fine for Throwing Bottles
According to a statement issued by the Tanzania Premier League Board, Simba were fined TSh 10 million after their supporters threw bottles onto the pitch on multiple occasions during the match.
The board explained that the offence was a repeat violation during the 2026/2027 season, following a similar incident involving the clubβs supporters in another match against Pamba Jiji.
The punishment was imposed under Premier League Regulation 48:1, which concerns club control and is intended to strengthen discipline and ensure safety during league matches.
TSh 5 Million Fine for Entering the Playing Area
In addition to the fine for throwing bottles, Simba were fined another TSh 5 million after their supporters entered the playing area while the match against Yanga was in progress.
During the incident, one supporter was reportedly involved in a confrontation with a young ball boy who was collecting balls outside the playing area. The supporter was subsequently restrained by stadium security personnel.
Simba won the match 2-1, with the Msimbazi Reds producing an impressive performance and scoring both goals in the second half through Neo Maema and Elie Mpanzu.
