Simba SC’s Information and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, has strongly criticised some Yanga officials and supporters following their attacks on the club’s former spokesperson, Haji Manara, popularly known as “Bugatti.”
The dispute follows Manara’s appearance alongside Ahmed Ally in a light-hearted football banter interview after Yanga’s recent 2-1 defeat to Simba in the Kariakoo Derby.
In a post on his social media account, Ahmed Ally hit back at Yanga supporters, accusing them of looking for excuses for their defeat by attacking someone with a deeper history with the club than many of them.
“Take it easy and be patient, you lot.
You took Mzee Said, gave him ‘Unga wa Ndele,’ and made him look foolish. During the unveiling of your ‘Magalasa,’ you used our supporter as the cameraman to legitimise your ‘Mawata Galasa.’
@hajismanara__ has visited his usual hangout at Stesheni, and you are already getting worked up.
Let us make this clear: Bugatti cannot be driven away. He is more Yanga than all of you combined. If that is not enough, you newcomers found him already there; he has a greater history with the club than you do.
Bugatti is Yanga for life! He will always be one of yours,” Ahmed Ally wrote.
Manara has a long history in Tanzanian football, having served as a spokesperson for both Simba and Yanga.
He currently serves as a spokesperson for Tanzania’s national teams and regularly participates in various sports discussion events, including the recent event that brought him together with Semaji.
