Equatorial Guinea’s 15 de Agosto have officially confirmed that they will use Uhuru Stadium as their home venue for the first leg of their CAF Champions League qualifying tie as they battle for a place in the group stage.
The team has been forced to bring the match to Tanzania after failing to secure a stadium in their home country that meets CAF requirements.
They had initially planned to stage the match in Cameroon, but the arrangement fell through due to challenges reportedly beyond the club’s control.
15 de Agosto will now travel to Tanzania to play both legs of their tie against Simba at Uhuru Stadium.
