Elie Mpanzu walked away with the Man of the Match award after inspiring Simba to a 2-1 victory over Yanga in their NBC Premier League clash at Uhuru Stadium.
Mpanzu proved to be a constant threat to Yanga’s defence, and with greater clinical finishing, he could arguably have left the pitch with more than one goal.
He scored Simba’s winning goal, making the most of a pass from Keletso Makgalwa, who also delivered an impressive performance after coming on in the second half.
Mpanzu gave Yanga defenders Ibrahim Bacca and Bakari Mwamnyeto, as well as goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, a difficult afternoon before slotting home Simba’s second goal to secure all three points for the Msimbazi Reds in the 2-1 victory.
