Simba attacking midfielder Bakari Selemani Msimu says joining the club has given him a major opportunity to learn and improve because of the high level of competition within the Wanamsimbazi squad.
Msimu joined Simba this season from Coastal Union, the club that developed him from the youth ranks before promoting him to the senior team. At Coastal Union, he scored four goals in the 2024/25 season and three the following campaign.
Although he is not currently a regular starter for Simba, Msimu views the situation as part of the process of developing his abilities rather than a reason to lose hope.
The player says the environment at Simba has helped him improve his understanding of various aspects of the game, particularly technical and tactical matters, as well as how to prepare through training.
He added that having experienced and high-quality players at Simba gives him an opportunity to learn directly from the stars while continuing to fight for his place in the team.
Msimu, who is in his third Mainland Premier League season since being promoted to the senior squad, has already featured in three matches for Simba this season.
He made his first appearance in the Community Shield match against Yanga and was also given opportunities in league matches against Kagera Sugar and Geita Gold.
