Simba creative midfielder Clatous Chama, popularly known as the ‘Lusaka Warrior’, has revealed what happened behind the scenes when he left Simba and joined Yanga during the 2024/25 season.
Chama said the move was a difficult experience for him and that he made efforts to return everything he had received from Yanga so he could go back to Simba, but it was not possible at the time.
Chama revealed this during an exclusive interview with Fatema Dewji.
"The truth is, I deeply regretted leaving Simba. The day I signed the contract with Yanga was not a very good day for me."
"I called the Yanga president and told him I would return everything so I could go back to Simba, but he refused. He said it was impossible because every fan and everyone else was waiting for me at Yanga," Chama said.
However, Chama returned to Simba during the mid-season transfer window last season after joining from Singida BS, where he spent six months following his departure from Yanga, whom he had served for one season.
Chama has made a strong start to the current season, already scoring three goals in the NBC Premier League.
