Simba SC vice-captain and defender Rushine De Reuck has reassured the club’s fans, promising that the team will perform better this season than they did last season.
De Reuck made the statement as Simba travelled to Malawi for their CAF Champions League first-leg clash, stressing the team’s determination to perform strongly in their continental campaign.
"We have prepared well and are ready for a good Champions League campaign. We did not perform well last season, but this season we have prepared ourselves and are ready to fight," he said.
Simba left Dar es Salaam early today for Malawi as they embark on another CAF Champions League campaign, with the Reds of Msimbazi carrying high expectations.
Simba will face Malawi’s Mighty Wanderers on Sunday in what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter, with the Reds of Msimbazi aiming to secure a positive result ahead of the return leg.
