The Premier League match between Azam FC and Simba, which was originally scheduled for September 9 at Azam Complex, will now be played on September 16 at the same venue.
The Tanzania Premier League Board made the changes to give clubs representing the country in CAF competitions enough time to prepare and ensure they advance from the preliminary rounds.
Simba, Yanga and Singida Black Stars will begin their CAF campaigns in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, while Azam FC will enter the competition in the first round.
The Azam FC vs Simba match is not the only fixture that has been postponed. The matches between Yanga and Geita Gold, as well as Singida Black Stars and Mashujaa FC, have also been moved to later dates.
On September 6, Simba will be in Malawi to face Mighty Wanderers before returning home to prepare for the second leg, which will be played on September 13.
