Simba SC's 2026/27 CAF Champions League title campaign is set to officially begin in Malawi, with the date and kick-off time now confirmed for their preliminary-round clash against Mighty Wanderers.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Tanzanian giants will take to the field on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The match is scheduled to be played at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.
According to the official schedule, kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. Tanzania time, which is 3:00 p.m. in Malawi.
This will be the first-leg encounter of the preliminary round, with Simba SC travelling away in search of a positive result before returning home to Dar es Salaam for the second leg, scheduled for one week later on September 13, 2026.
The Simba squad is expected to travel to Malawi on September 4, with the Msimbazi Reds first set to complete their fifth-round NBC Premier League match against Geita Gold before turning their attention to the CAF Champions League.
