Simba attacking midfielder Clatous Chama has continued to prove himself as an important weapon for head coach Steve Barker this season, having already scored two goals for the Reds of Msimbazi in the NBC Premier League.
Chama scored his second goal of the season yesterday in Simba's 2-1 victory over his former club, Singida BS, in a match played at Airtel Stadium in Singida.
The goal came from a pass by Libasse Gueye, who has also enjoyed an impressive start to the season and has focused heavily on creating chances, already providing four assists.
Chama currently leads Simba's scoring charts with two goals.
Other players who have scored once so far include Anicet Oura, Ismail Toure, Rushine de Reuck and Elie Mpanzu.
It is a season of high ambitions for Simba, who have made an excellent start by winning all three of their away matches.
Two home fixtures now await them at Uhuru Stadium, against Coastal Union on August 27 and Geita Gold on August 31.
