Simba SC midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar has apologised following the red card he received in their NBC Premier League match against Pamba Jiji at CCM Kirumba Stadium on Wednesday.
Jabaar was shown a straight red card in the 42nd minute of the first half following an incident in which he elbowed a Pamba Jiji player.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, Simba managed to secure victory. In a message, the midfielder said there were no excuses and accepted full responsibility for the incident.
The match marked the second consecutive game in which Simba finished with 10 players following a red card. In their previous match against Kagera Sugar, David Kameta “Duchu” was also sent off in similar circumstances.
Jabaar is expected to miss Simba’s next three matches, while Duchu will continue to be unavailable for the club’s next two fixtures.
Following their victory in Mwanza, Simba will travel to Singida for their next match against Singida Black Stars, scheduled for August 22 at Airtel Stadium in Singida.
